THERAPY FAQs

  • I focus primarily on using “evidence-based” therapies, which have been validated by scientific research. While I cannot guarantee your results, I promise to offer you the best possible treatment options given your unique goals – and to work as hard as you are willing to work to help you reach them.

  • I offer primarily nternal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. I am also trained in CBT, DBT, CPT, PE, CBTi, ERP, Gottman Level 1, and psychodynamic approaches. I am able to weave elements of these therapies in with IFS to provide therapy tailored to your needs.

  • I am in-network with Aetna only. If you have a PPO or related plan, you may be eligible for at least partial reimbursement. I can share more about the steps for that process if we decide to work together.

PAYMENT PROCESS

  • Sapientia Wellness, LLC is a private pay service provider and is not in-network with insurance companies, with the exception of Aetna only.

  • For clients with Aetna insurance, insurance will be billed via Alma. For clients with all other types of insurance, your insurance will not billed. Fees are the responsibility of the client and are due at time of service.

  • If you do have insurance and pay out-of-pocket, you may consider the following options:

    1) You can opt-out of using your insurance for services. In this case, you would make payments to Sapientia Wellness Services and your insurance would not be involved in your therapy services.

    2) If you have a PPO plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your insurance provider for services rendered by Sapientia Wellness Services. You can contact your insurance provider to inquire about this option. In this case, Sapientia Wellness, LLC would create a detailed receipt of your payments (called a “superbill”) for you to submit to your insurance provider for the reimbursement rate outlined in your insurance policy.

    3) Some clients choose to use their Health Savings Account (HSA) card to pay for services.

  • Sapientia Wellness Services uses SimplePractice, a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform for debit/credit card payments for psychotherapy, consultation and coaching services. A link to set-up an account and enter a card would be sent to you via e-mail. SimplePractice will then keep your card on file to bill future invoices. Your card information will not be accessible to Sapientia Wellness Services.
