The Group

The journey of parenthood is full of highs and lows. Let’s ride them together.

Join others who desire to navigate this “little kid” phase of life authentically. We’ll learn and practice key tools from the book How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen, and connect with one another as we clarify our unique values and goals in this stage of chaos, er, life. :)

This group is a 6-session series, designed to be accessible for parents during lunch break or nap time. Members will leave with tangible skills for creating more peace and connection at home. Members may also opt-in to a long-term parent group at the conclusion of the series.

  • This is a co-ed group for parents of kids ages 2-7. Members are motivated to learn skills for creating calmer, more connected relatianships with their kids. They may wish to feel more present with their kids, or parent differently than how they were raised - yet feel overwhelmed about how to do that.

  • Our focus will be on learning key strategies from the book How To Talk So Little Kids Will Listen. Outside reading is not required; the topics will be taught and practiced in session. We will also support one another in clarifying our unique values and goals as parents, to show up as our most authentic selves at home.

  • You might feel nervous or unsure at first, to connect in a group setting. That makes sense! Everyone will share at their comfort level, without pressure or expectation from others.

Expect to build greater self-awareness and authentic connections with others, and with your kid(s). We know that practicing the skills taught in group helps members show up with them outside of it: at school drop-off, at bedtime, and all the moments in between.

  • No. The 6-session group is considered non-clinical coaching, which is not billable to insurance. If you have a HSA card, you may be able to pay using those funds. I recommend that you discuss with your insurance company for more information.

For the long-term process group, insurance reimbursement may be possible for clients who have a PPO plan. In those cases, I can provide you with a ‘Superbill’ receipt for services, which you then submit to your insurance.

  • Great! Go ahead and schedule a free consultation call and we’ll talk together about your goals and see if the group will be a fit. Please also complete the form below.

After watching Alex lead workshops and group sessions firsthand, I recognized that she is the type of therapist I would want my loved ones to see.
